What to do around Hermanus |
Renowned for its pristine beaches, rugged coastline and winding cliff paths, Hermanus is the centre of the unique Fynbos ecosphere and is the ideal base from which to explore the magnificent Southern Cape wine routes of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and the Overberg as well as the Bredasdorp coast — the southernmost tip of Africa. From May to November is the time for close-up whale watching.
Hermanus offers lots of surprises for the whole family. There are a number different beaches to choose from — from secluded rock-protected coves to long stretches of white sand.
All are perfect for playing, swimming, tanning, snorkeling, picnicking, surfing, fishing or whatever you fancy doing …
